What does Social Relay actually do?
You write a post once. It goes to your website, your Facebook Page, your Instagram, your LinkedIn and your Google Business Profile at the same time. That is the whole product.
Do I have to be any good at social media?
No, and that is rather the point. You are not trying to go viral — you are trying to look open.
Before somebody rings you they look you up, and a page whose last post is from 2023 reads as gone out of business. Turning up beats being clever.
What if I do not know what to write?
Tell it about the job in a few words — "replaced a hot water system, the old one had rusted through" — and press the button that offers to write the post for you.
Or say it out loud using the microphone on your phone's keyboard and let it type for you. That is the most popular tip we have.
Do I need a Facebook Page, or will my normal Facebook do?
You need a Page. Facebook does not let any app post to a personal profile — that is Facebook's rule, not ours.
A Page is free and takes about three minutes to make. There is a guide with pictures.
Why does Instagram need a photo when the others do not?
Instagram will not accept a post without an image. It is the one thing that can stop a post going out, and Social Relay tells you before you press the button rather than after.
Do I need a website for this to be worth it?
No. Plenty of customers post to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Google Business Profile only.
If you do have a WordPress website, connecting it means your posts also become news items on your own site, which is the one place you own.
Do I have to give you my website password?
No. WordPress makes a separate password just for apps, which you can delete at any time without touching your own login.

What does it cost?
AU$199 a year for the plan. An extra login for somebody else in the business is AU$59 a year.

Can I cancel?
Yes, from inside the app, in two clicks, whenever you like. You keep it until the end of the period you have paid for.
Can it post later instead of right now?
Yes. Put a date and time on a post and it goes out then. Most people write several in one sitting and space them through the week.
Something says it has disconnected. Have I done something wrong?
No. Facebook and LinkedIn make every app prove itself again from time to time, and they do it to us like everyone else.
Your other destinations keep working, and reconnecting takes about thirty seconds.
Can somebody else in my business use it too?
Yes — extra logins are AU$59 a year each, and everybody works on the same posts.
